Located next to the Lockyer Valley on the Great Dividing Range, Toowoomba is a small city with a country atmosphere. Commonly known as the Garden City, Toowoomba boasts its parks and gardens for its beautiful flowers during spring and it deciduous trees from around the world in autumn. Toowoomba’s beautiful gardens inspired the community to host the annual event ‘Carnival of Flowers’ each September. The carnival lights up the town with vibrant flowers in the garden and parks. A street parade and other activities are also held for the event. The Cobb+Co. Museum, Picnic Point Lookout, the Jondaryan Woolshed, the Japanese Gardens and the art deco Empire Theatre are other must do activities in Toowoomba.
