Mackay Airport Pty Ltd (MAPL) welcomes today’s launch of a new service to Townsville provided by Regional Express (REX).
General Manager Terry Simpson said it is always exciting for an airport to welcome a new airline and particularly so when it is a regional airline of the calibre of REX.
“On behalf of everyone at MAPL I extend a very warm welcome to REX and look forward to working with them as our newest airline partner,” Mr Simpson said.
“The new Townsville service provides our customers with more choice and flexibility by offering an additional 17 flights to and from that city each week.”
“We will also be exploring opportunities to build on these initial REX services over time.”
