Regional Express Customer Contact Centre Restructuring
Friday, March 28, 2008

Rex’s General Manager of Network Strategy and Sales, Mr Warrick Lodge said “These changes were the inevitable result of the strong success of our Internet Booking Engine, which now accounts for over 75% of our bookings compared to 40% when Rex first started.”

“The restructuring, however, would only be limited to the 17 casually employed staff. Rex’s Customer Contact Centre currently employs 23 permanent staff.”

Mr Lodge added, “We are grateful for the service of the retrenched staff and would be offering them priority consideration for positions in our network when available. We will also endeavour to assist them wherever possible in securing alternative employment in the Orange area.”

Rex is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of 37 Saab 340 aircraft on 1,300 flights weekly to 24 destinations from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
