Canberra

Australia’s capital city Canberra. A city that encounters world-class exhibits, holds spectacular events and has the most beyond compare arts and cultural scenery. Canberra which also known as “The Bush capital” got its name from the wide-ranging nature reserves and surrounding mountain ranges. In 1912, the Australia government decided to hold competition to find a design for the nation’s capital. Over 137 entries from 15 nations pitched in to design the city but it was Mr. Walter Burley Griffin an American Architect who was awarded. Australia’s Parliament House located in the center a Canberra sitting on top of Capital Hill which Mr. Griffin thought was the most prominent location for it. Canberra has a wide range to offer for the whole family to enjoy. The capital is home to distinguished breweries, distilleries and wineries for the adults to experience, while the kids have many museums and exhibits to venture through. As the Australia’s largest inland city, it is a perfect place for a self-drive holiday with no road tolls, ample parking and minimal traffic. Whether it’s an iconic national attraction, world-class dining and wining, or exciting adventures; Canberra has it all. It truly is a place that encompasses a massive history and travelers will delight to visit.
