Rex Leases Two Aircraft to SGA Airlines

Regional Express (Rex) has finalised the lease of two SAAB 340B aircraft to SGA Airlines. The latter is a domestic Thai carrier and works closely with Nok Air, the regional and low-cost subsidiary of Thai Airways.

The leased aircraft are expected to be in Thailand in on 5th January 2010 and will commence operations on 17th January 2010 subject to regulatory approval. Initially the aircraft will be operating on two routes – Chiangmai to Maehonson and Chiangmai to Udonthani.

The aircraft are already painted in the colourful livery of SGA which mirrors closely that of Nok Air.
