The Riverina should be extremely proud to know that for the second year in a row, Rex has been named the world’s Top Performing Regional Airline by the Aviation Week and Space Technology (AWST).
The Nationals candidate for Riverina, Michael McCormack said the award recognises the innovative and sound financial management of Rex.
“Rex continues to display outstanding leadership in regional aviation and their commitment to us here in the regions is second to none,” Mr McCormack said.
“This demonstrates once again the very real need for Rex to have secure access to Sydney Airport, which is vital to Rex continuing to perform as they currently do.
“All effort needs to be made to ensure Rex has the ability to continue performing at this extremely high standard to ensure regions such as the Riverina have access to affordable aviation.
“I have already voiced my commitment to be the voice for regional aviation and I intend to honour that commitment if elected as the next Federal Member for Riverina,” Mr McCormack said.
