Australia's largest independent regional airline Rex has welcomed the move by Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar to revert to advertising only fully inclusive fares. Rex was the only major Australian airline that did not follow Qantas' footsteps when the latter decided to advertise fares without taxes and levies.

Regional Express to Increase Fuel Surcharge

Regional Express (Rex) has announced an increase in fuel surcharge from next week on all routes, following in the footsteps of Virgin and Qantas. The surcharge on Rex flights will increase $8 (including GST) per sector and come into effect on 20 April 2005.
