Bush Tucker Day, Trundle NSW

Trundle which is 65 km North-West of Parkes, is celebrating the 21st Birthday of The Trundle Bush Tucker Day. The day includes Bush Cooking Competitions, Bush Tucker Tasting, Kelly's National Damper Throw, a Whip Cracking Workshop, Yard Dog Trials, Tug of War, Kids Competitions and entertainment for the whole family. The bush cook competition is all about creating culinary delights in traditional camp ovens over open fires. Admission prices are; children under 12 are free, for 12-17 years old the cost is $5.00 and it is $30.00 per adult. 4th National Abalone Convention, Port Lincoln SA

This event focuses on where the Abalone industry is now, where is should be and how to arrive there without risk to resource, the environment and industry. The message of the convention is "Ensure our Future is Secure." The convention will feature a variety of presentations and both international and national guest speakers. There will be a trade display and sessions on key industry issues including sustainability and dive health and safety. There is also a full social program including the welcome cocktail party and the convention dinner.
